when did you open your shop?
I opened my shop when my twin girls were about three months old, in February 2010. I started by making ruffle rompers and would get requests from friends to make some for them. Then their friends wanted some, so I opened a little shop!

how did you learn to do what you do?
My mother taught me to sew at a young age. All throughout high school I would make my own clothes or change-up store bought clothes
where do you find your inspiration?
Everywhere! Recently Pinterest has been a huge inspiration! A lot of times I’ll see something amazingly cute online and recreate it with a few twists.

what is your favorite product in your shop?
Right now…probably the ruffle rompers or the bow garland.
what is your favorite handmade shop?
Lou and Lee. Ann makes the most beautiful little girl headbands and I wish I could have them all! What she does with felt is magical.

give us one tip for aspiring handmade artists.
My one tip would be to not let your passion for your art die. Change up your routine! Learn something new! Create something new often enough that it stays exciting.
