As a little girl, I fondly remember being excited about going to bed so that I could dive back in to my library book and soak in a couple more chapters before I fell asleep. Many nights, my mom would open my door and tell me it was time to close the book and turn off the light so I could go to sleep! As a mom now, I know she must have felt really proud to have a child who loved to read so much that she had to force her to stop so she could sleep at night!
As an adult now, “finding time to read” seems impossible! Between being a wife and mother, running a home, and working full time, reading has fallen very low on my priority list. Although that makes me sound like super-woman, the truth is that reading has really fallen below binging a few episodes on Netflix before bed, scrolling endlessly through Pinterest on my phone when I actually get in bed (many times, falling asleep with it in my hand – soooo bad I know), and “just working for a few minutes” in the car.
This year I’m reclaiming my love for turning pages and making reading a priority again. My goal this year is to read 24 books, which easily breaks down to two each month. I’m a fast reader and comprehend things quickly, so it should be doable… Basically I just have to put my phone and computer away more often! Here’s my 2018 reading list!

I joined a book club last summer and have really been enjoying it especially since I don't work outside the home and social time is severely lacking. I have read a few on your list and going to check out some others you have on here. Thanks for sharing! ps. Have fun at Thrive!
