Celebrate the holidays this year with intention!! I’m bringing you 12 Mindful Days of Christmas – a series all about celebrating the holiday without buying a bunch of gifts for others! You can check out all the other days in the series here!
Welcome back to the 12 Mindful Days of Christmas series! I’m excited to be sharing these fun ways to celebrate the holidays with your friends and family without overspending and getting stressed out!
Day one was all about having a swap meet – a fun and free way to trade what you have and don’t want anymore (whether it is Christmas decorations, clothing, gifts, toys, anything!) with your friends for things they have and don’t want anymore!
Day two we spent cuddled on the couch for family movie night! Bust out the popcorn, snacks, fuzzy blankets, and cozy pajamas friends and enjoy a night in with your favorite family Christmas movie!
If your family is competitive like mine then you’ll love today’s mindful way to celebrate the holidays together!
12 Mindful Days of Christmas
We LOVE playing all kinds of games in the McLain house! (A recent fave is UNO Attack – SO fun!) Any Saturday afternoon you can find us in the living room throwing down with UNO cards or playing War at the dining room table.
Invite over another family, make some apple cider, put on some Christmas tunes, and break out some of these fun games to play together!
These are our favorite family friendly games!
Uno Attack is a fun spin on classic Uno that is exciting and super easy for our family to play together! It is easy to learn and small enough to carry anywhere!
2. Build or Boom – Jett got this game for his birthday and we have spent hours playing it! It gets little minds going and helps improve motor skills with the building projects!
3. Sorry! This blast from the past is still a ton of fun for grownups and kids to play together!
4. I bet you’re already singing the theme song to this one! Lol! Jett loves pushing the bubble in the middle and Chris and I get real nostalgic over it!
5. Even though it’s not technically a game, Marble Run is a go to family activity that we love to do together!
What are your favorite movies for family game night?
