Amazon has become my go-to source for swimsuits this year so today I’m doing an Amazon Swimsuit Roundup for you! I’ve found so many good suits there!
Here’s the deal – when it comes to swimsuits, I have pretty high standards. First and foremost, I want it to be comfortable. I refuse to be in a swimsuit that I’m constantly pulling, tugging, readjusting, or stuffing my boobs back into. Seriously, ain’t nobody got time for that.
Second, I of course want it to be flattering! If I don’t have time to be adjusting my suit all day at the pool or beach, then I definitely don’t have any time to waste wondering if my belly looks crazy or if my left butt cheek has decided to make a surprise appearance.
Third, it needs to be affordable. I don’t have hundreds of dollars to shell out for a swimsuit and swimsuits are one category where I do like to have some options, so I’d rather have a couple of suits to choose from or at least one new suit each year. So I can’t justify dropping more than $100 for it if I know I will want a different one next year.
And last, it needs be functional. Functional in that, I have a five year old who wants/needs me to be in the pool with him so I can’t be worried about whether or not it is going to hold up to some active pool time. In short, it has to pass the jumping jack test, which you’ll never SEE me do, because it is a super embarrassing test where I do 25 jumping jacks in something to see if everything stays where it should.
These six suits fit ALL of those requirements. I’ve done the research for you, tried on dozens of suits from Amazon, and these are the ones that fit the bill for me! #yourewelcome Let’s get started shall we?
Amazon Swimsuit Round Up
SIZING INFO: I am typically a size L or 12, but I prefer sizing UP one in a swimsuit for more breast coverage (functionality, remember?) I am also pretty short, with a short torso, coming in at 5’4″. A lot of these I’ve been told will fit a longer torso if you are able to size up one or two sizes.

Basic but Bold!
Swimsuit: Firepearl Women’s Ruching Tummy Control One Piece
Color: Burgundy
Size: 14
Price: $26.99
I’m wearing this suit in a size 14! The ruching is very flatting across my midsection and it nips in at the waist, which highlights the smallest part of my body. The straps are very supportive and I definitely feel like I could run around the pool in this one! Because it is such a basic cut, I went with a bolder color with the burgundy (where I would have normally gone with a black!)
Flirty & Fun
Swimsuit: Hilor Women’s One Shoulder Asymetrical Ruffle One Piece
Size: 14
Color: Red
Price: $29.99
While I won’t be doing any back flips off the diving board in this one (and yes, I can do a back flip off the diving board!) this one did pass the jumping jack test so I feel confident when I tell you it is functional! For one thing it is FULLY LINED in the front, which is awesome! I love a one-shoulder ruffle on ANYTHING so when I saw this suit (which is a slightly less expensive version of this one) I had to grab it and see! I’m wearing it in a size 14.
Floral & Fabulous
Swimsuit: MarinaVida Ruffle Top High Waist Two-Piece Swimsuit
Size: Large (12-14)
Color: White & Red Flower
Price: $30.99
Okay look. I’m not really a peplum lover, and I was skeptical of this suit. However, once I got it on, I was sold! The straps cross in the back, which makes it extra supportive in the front. (Tip, take those obnoxious round boob pads out that are useless and it fits perfectly!). I love the little peplum waist (shockingly! and the high waisted bottoms made me feel sucked in in all the right places. Overall this one was a winner for me! I’m wearing in a size L (12-14)!
The One with the Built In Bra
Swimsuit: Perona Retro Ruched Vintage Tummy Control Swimsuit
Size: US14
Color: Red
Price: $25.99
If you’re the kind of gal who appreciates a little more support for the girls, then this might be your suit! It has built in molded cups (no underwire) that are super supportive and keep everyone where they should be! I would feel extremely comfortable in this one at the beach or pool! In addition to the supportive top, it also has the ruching around the middle and the backside has nice coverage as well! I am wearing in size 14.
For the Sassy Mama
Swimsuit: MarinaVida Ruffled Racerback with High Waisted Bottom Tankini Set
Size: Large (US 12-14)
Color: Pink Flower
Price: $13.99
I have to admit that when I ordered this one, I didn’t have any expectations of actually keeping it. It just seemed way out of my “normal” and I was honestly just trying to try something new. Well it worked out in my favor, which made me happy! I love the bright colors in this suit and the ruffle front is actually super cute! While it does pass the jumping jack test, I have a feeling it will drive me crazy in the pool because the fabric will float up in the water… so I’ll give you guys an update on that this summer! But for less then $14 – it can’t be beat I say! Wearing in a L (US12-14)!
It is ALL in the Details
Swimsuit: Hilor Macrame Back Tummy Control Bathing Suit
Size: 14
Color: Navy
Price: $28.99
This one is a KEEPER for me! I love the macrame detail on the back (see it in the listing here) and it is super flattering around my waistline and for my cleavage! (I say, if you’ve got it, flaunt it, if you’re comfortable with that. lol) I have gotten some “what about the tan lines” feedback and here is the deal: I am pale-skinned so I wear sunscreen alllll summer long. I rarely, barely ever get anything close to a tan, so tan lines are not really an issue for me! But hey, if they are for you, I get it. There is a suit very similar to this one here, without the macrame design on the back!
So guys, that is it! What are your thoughts on these suits? Do you have one? Are you going to try one out? Have a question? Leave a comment below and let’s chat!

I love both of the burgundy suits on you, as well as, the navy, with the latter being my favorite!
Thank you for being so real and honest…the world needs more authenticity!

Wow – you look amazing!!! There are so many great choices here. That navy one screams “va va voom!”
Love the one shoulder one with the ruffle too!
