Choosing blogging conference outfits can be overwhelming and stressful! My tips are to choose what you feel comfortable and confident in! Here is what I wore to Thrive last weekend!
Happy Thursday friends! This has been a really good, but really long week! I attended Thrive Blogging Conference last week (recap on that coming soon!) and right before I left, Jett was diagnosed with the flu. Put a bit of a damper on my weekend, but my husband stepped right in and reminded me that he, in fact, is better at this kind of stuff anyways and of course he handled it all like a champ while I was gone!
That last minute glitch, along with everything that came with it like getting meds and making sure everyone was comfortable, in addition to teaching the Enneagram Journey for our small group on Thursday night, left me very little time to actually get packed and ready to go. So, when it came to my outfits, I had to just grab things that I knew would be comfortable, look great, and made me feel confident. These are the three looks I went for!
Blogging Conference Outfits
Friday Night Welcome Party
The welcome party vibe is always pretty casual – it is more about standing around and chatting with new friends than dancing or drinking. Knowing that, I wanted to be comfortable but still wear something that stood out a bit and made me feel a little sassy! This off the shoulder top was the winner! I paired it with this bralette (a best-seller around here) and my favorite distressed denim! Top it off with the worlds most comfortable wedges and the perfect earrings and this outfit is an all around winner for any girl’s night or date night!
Sizing info: The top is true to size, I am wearing in a size L! I would size down if in between as it is a little flowy. Jeans are true to size, wearing in a size 12. I used the sizing tool for the bralette and ordered in an XL (normally a 36G). Finally, I would size up .5 in the shoes!
Saturday Conference
The name of the game for the full day of conferencing is comfort and versatility! Nobody wants to be in an outfit all day that they are constantly pulling or tugging at, or has a really itchy tag, or requires Spanx underneath. Right? So I pulled out my new favorite tunic from Amazon, threw on my favorite pink jacket, and bravely stepped out in white jeans! (I say bravely because I’m constantly spilling stuff on myself, but miraculously did not this time) I slipped in to my favorite flats (so comfy!) put on some killer earrings, and faced the entire day feeling really comfortable and confident!
Sizing Info: In the floral top (the color is called Navy Orange Printed), I would size up if in between! I am wearing the large here and though the fabric is stretchy, it is a bit tight across the shoulders. For the jacket, I found it true to size and I am wearing in a L. My jeans are no longer available, but in the pair I linked, I would size down if in between. In any pointy toe shoes I always size up .5!
Sunday Coaching Sessions
For Sunday, since I knew I would be tired and drained, comfort came first. I reached for this jumpsuit (currently sold out so I’m linking a very similar one) and my favorite denim jacket. I’ve had mine for years (denim jackets will be timeless, so invest in a good one!) and it is no longer available, but you can find similar ones here and here. I wore the same shoes the next day (flats foreverrrr) and felt pulled together while also feeling like I was in my pajamas!
Sizing info: This jumpsuit and the one I linked are the most flattering fitting jumpsuits I’ve ever tried on, and I’ve tried on a bunch! The tie hits right at my waist (I’m 5’4″ for reference) and the fabric is a boucle, meaning it won’t stretch out and get saggy throughout the day, which is a major win. I find it to be true to size and I am wearing it in a size L!
