Last weekend, we looked at several houses within a couple of hours. Trying to keep all the details of each one straight and remembering which one had a study, which one had the nice yard, and which one had that sweet master bathroom is nearly impossible! I carried a house hunting checklist with me to keep track of everything!
I printed out one for each house before we left and went ahead and entered in the information at the top so I already had that done. I also put them in the order that we were looking to keep it easy.

While I know there are some other versions of this on the internet, those were all way too detailed for us at the moment and we just wanted a general overview for each house that we could go back and reference later. So I kept it pretty general when it came to specific details of the house and just created a spot where we could write detailed notes down at the bottom, including questions we might have about it that we need to ask later, if we wanted to make an offer on it.
The whole house buying process can be so overwhelming, especially when it is your first time. One of the things I would go back and tell myself the first time we bought a house would be to take your time AND to take lots of notes while you’re looking because you think you’ll remember details about individual houses, but you won’t!
