I think we can all agree that this has been a very long year; however, for the first time this year I feel like things are moving in a positive direction. Don’t worry, when I wrote that out I whispered that in my head so the universe didn’t hear me and jinx us. Ha!
Diffuser / Faux Succulent / Coconut Oil
Now that September is winding down to a close, I’m happy to say that we are getting settled into our new house and our routine a little bit after the craziness of this summer. I’m welcoming fall with open arms and I’m loving fall baseball, school being back in-person for Jett, and the weather cooling off a bit!
With everything we’ve had going on, Amazon has been an absolute life saver! From supplies for virtual learning & in-person school to house supplies to cozy sweaters perfect for leggings, here’s everything I’ve ordered and loved from Amazon this month!
Amazon Finds: September 2020
We were in dire need of new bathmats – our old ones were thin, not cushy or absorbent at all, and didn’t have a non-slip bottom on them, so they were dangerous. Enter these bathmats from Amazon. Not only are they incredibly soft and cushy under your feet, they also have a great non-stick lining on the bottom that keeps it from budging! I bought three in the 32″ x 30″ size (that is the size pictured here) for outside of our bathtub, shower, and Jett’s shower, and one in the 17″ x 24″ size for in front of the toilet. They come in several pretty colors and lots of sizes!
I’ve been filling up my Amazon cart with tunic-length sweatshirts for fall and this is my favorite find! I love the length and the color is so much prettier in real life than in the listing! True to size, wearing in a Large.
Little fact about me: if you put stripes on something, there is a high likelihood that I’ll buy it, especially when they are colorful! This sweater is the perfect transitional top – soft but lightweight and great to layer under a jacket or cardigan! I would recommend sizing up one – I am wearing this in a size XL. It comes in about 30 different colors so you can definitely find one perfect for your wardrobe!
This quarter zip pullover is my most recent Amazon purchase – I just got it in the mail earlier this week! I think it will be really cute layered with a button down underneath and some dark jeans too. I would recommend going up a size if you want it to be oversized – I am wearing in XL here.
My friend Meg shared this silicone loofah on Instagram a few months ago and I was so intrigued! While it does take some getting used to, now that I’ve changed over I don’t think I’ll ever go back! My favorite thing is that you can throw it in your dishwasher to keep it clean.
In case you missed the news, Schitt’s Creek swept the Emmy’s this year and took home several well-deserved awards! I celebrated with a glass of wine in my Ew, David coffee mug! My friend Jessica got me this for my birthday earlier this year and it was a fun one to add to my collection.
I am a sucker for a good diffuser! This glass diffuser is beautiful – the glass dome is lovely because you can see all the mist filling up inside and honestly it is one of my favorite things about it. Also, add three drops of each of these oils to your diffuser to make your home smell like a spice cake is baking in your oven. You’re welcome.
Flameless Candles & Faux Succulents
My husband hung this little shelf over my bathtub a few weeks ago and I had a hard time coming up with what I wanted to put in there. I eventually landed on these flameless candles and I’m so glad I did. They come in a pack of nine, in three different heights, for under $20. That is a win for me! I also used them in my front entry way for fall. I also grabbed these faux succulents (because plants, even succulents, and I do not get a long!) and boom – perfection! This is SO peaceful and relaxing at night!
Kid’s Blue Light Glasses & Headphones
We rode the virtual learning train for a few weeks and even though Jett is officially back in school in-person, I wanted to share these kid’s blue light blocking glasses and headphones! These were lifesavers for us – Jett has a hard time hearing so the noise cancelling aspect of these headphones was really helpful for him. I have blue light blocking glasses too, and when he asked me for a pair I couldn’t resist. He looks so adorable in them and not only did it give me a little peace of mind with all of his screen time BUT it also kept him excited about virtual learning, which was a struggle for everyone, ha!
This may be one of my favorite purchases this entire year. Our batteries have always been a hot mess in the basket you see on the left. When we got ready to pack up and move into the new house, I had to do something about it! Thank goodness for this battery organizer! Not only does it keep everything in it’s spot, it comes with a battery tester (that Chris has already endorsed with a “super helpful – thanks dear!”) and you can easily see what you’re running low on. Oh, also, if you didn’t know, you can get batteries for like, super inexpensive on Amazon. Stock up before the holidays hit!
