Summer in Houston will melt your face off so I really prefer a lot of tank tops and lightweight tops to wear daily. I grabbed this leopard sweater because the fabric is really thin and it is a great piece that will also carry me through the fall months as well – leopard is a neutral in my book and can be paired with tons of things!
The same goes with the two button downs – both lightweight and versatile and will easily carry me through the transition of summer to fall, in December. 😉

I love dresses in the summertime! They make me feel put together with absolutely minimum effort and come with a personal air conditioning system, which is essential in the south. I love the ruffle, one shoulder dress for summer weddings – SO cute with a wedge heel and some fun earrings! Chambray is a great fabric for summer too! And how fun is the striped off the shoulder number for a little date night with the hubs? Love it!

I remember, in my 20s, I had a bathing suit from J.Crew that I absolutely LOVED. It was a full on bikini (this was wayyyyy before kids when I thought I was fat, but really I was super skinny and adorable… those were the days lol). But the point is that I only recently got rid of that bathing suit in the last few years, meaning it lasted me FOREVER.
