All of my favorite swimsuits from Target this year! Check out my Target swim haul for this year and see which ones made my must have list!
The first thing I thought of while I was typing the title of this blog post was wait no – its not 2020… is it? Because even though it is February, I am evidently still living in 2019 and haven’t moved into the new decade yet. I mean, isn’t 1990 still ten years ago? Seriously.
Anyways, after finding a couple of good suits at Target last year, I decided to dive in (ha, pun intended) early this year and find the best of what they’ve got and share them with you early so you can grab yourself a cute suit before they sell out!
I’m sharing some of my favorites, including a few I loved, a few I liked, and a couple I wasn’t a fan of at all, and lots of different styles for you to see! Tankinis, bikinis, monokinis, one-piece, skirts, boyshorts – I made a point to try them all so you can see them on a real body, so to speak!
I’ve included sizing information below each photo, a link to the bathing suit, and my little mini review! I hope you find this helpful and find your absolute favorite suit for this year!
Target Swim Haul 2020
Here is some sizing information for you! I am usually a size L in tops and size 12/14 in pants. My bra size is 36G so it is a struggle to find suits that fit correctly from top to bottom. These are all suits that I feel are supportive up top while fitting correctly at the bottom, even if I felt that they weren’t the most flattering or right for me (because I have no idea what you love and think is right for you – so I wanted to cover the gamut!)
And finally before we get to it, a reminder that I use affiliate links when I share products I love. When you click on the link and make a purchase, I make a small commission on the sale. It goes back into my business and into our family income! This is my full time job, and I could not do it without you guys, so I appreciate it and love it when you shop through my links!
Item: Women’s Tie Front One Piece Swimsuit by Aqua Green & Fia Crochet Sandals
Color: Multi
Size: True to size, wearing in L
Notes: This was by far my favorite suit; in fact it came home with me! It is super comfortable, has a built in bra, and is incredibly flattering! Highly recommend you twin with me and get this suit!
Item: Tortoise Ring One Piece Swimsuit – Kona Sol
Color: Animal Print
Size: True to size, wearing in L
Notes: I loved this suit! The back detail was really pretty and my favorite thing about it was that you could adjust the rise of the leg opening with the ruched sides!
Item: Tortoise Ring High Coverage One Piece Swimsuit
Size: True to size, wearing in L
Notes: Two great things about this suit: it has built in SPF 50 protection which is lovely AND it has a full coverage bottom, which is high on my desirables list. It does NOT have adjustable straps, which wasn’t a problem for me but worth noting!
Item: Strappy Side One Piece Swimsuit
Size: True to size, wearing in a L
Notes: While this one was a little skimpier than something I would normally pick out, I thought it was still a lot of fun and a great bathing suit for a beach vacation! It does not have as much support as other suits, as you can see, but the strappy side details are super cute!
Item: Braided Side Monokini
Size: True to size, wearing in a L
Notes: This was my first time to try out a monokini and I was “meh” about it. It is a cute suit, but I don’t think it is made for my body right now. I definitely thought I could find something more flattering! However it was pretty comfortable, and the top had a built in bra for a little extra support. It also had adjustable straps.
Items: Bandeau Mesh Flyaway Tankini Top & Caged High Waist Bikini Bottom
Size: True to size, wearing in a L
Notes: This bathing suit was SO comfortable. I’m not usually into a bandeau top, and I added in the included halter string, but overall I didn’t feel like this one was about to fall down the entire time I had it on. I also love the mesh flyaway tankini portion – I felt it was very flattering while still being cute and a little sassy!
Items: Light Lift V-Wire Ribbed Bikini Top & Caged High Waist Bikini Bottom
Size: Top – 38DD, Bottoms – L (Both true to size)
Notes: I had a lot of requests for wired tops so I’m happy to report that this is a wired top! However, I don’t love it. I felt like I was about to pour over the top of it the entire time I had it on. I think if they had the next size up it would have worked. I love these bottoms though! The high waist is the perfect height and the caged sides are a cute detail!
Item: Crochet Trim Cover Up Dress & Crochet Tote & Fia Crochet Sandals
Size: True to size, wearing in a L
Notes: Coverups were another highly requested item and I loved how simple this one was! Great for the beach or pool and very comfortable!
Items: Ruffle Halter Tankini Top & Full Coverage Hipster Bikini Bottom
Size: True to size on both, wearing both in a L
Notes: This is the same fabric as my one-piece shown above but in a cute tankini top! I loved the ruffle detail! I paired it with a simple, hipster bottom but it does have full coverage which I like. This was a contender for first place!
Items: Triangle Bikini Top & Hipster Medium Coverage Bottoms
Size: Top – XL (which is bigger than the D/DD option) Bottom – L
Notes: I was drawn to the color of this suit – it is a gorgeous teal color! The wide bottom band on the top made it pretty supportive and I love that it is fully adjustable with the ties around the back and neck. The bottoms could have come up a smidge higher in the front for me, but they were very soft and comfy.
Items: Faux Wrap Halter Bikini Top & Shortsie Swim Shorts
Size: Top – XL (which is bigger than the D/DD option) Bottom – L
Notes: I loved this suit! The top was very supportive and comfortable and the faux wrap detail is fun. These bottoms are a great option if you want to do a two piece but don’t want the full reveal of a bikini bottom! These would look cute with a tankini top as well.
Item: Pom Pom Trim Kaftan Coverup
Size: True to size, wearing in a L
Notes: This is the other item I ended up purchasing. I love love love this cover up! Fits great, has an adjustable tie in the back to make it fit tighter on the top as needed, and the pom pom trim is too cute! I also really loved the floral print!
Items: Faux Wrap Halter Bikini Top & Full Coverage High Waist Bikini Bottom
Size: Top – XL (which is bigger than the D/DD option) Bottom – L
Notes: This is the same top as the last bathing suit but I switched up to a high waisted bottom instead. I love this brand of swim at Target – everything fits perfectly and is very comfortable and these bottoms are no different! A great basic high waisted option to have for lots of different tops.
Item: Ring Detail Tankini Top & Full Coverage High Waist Bikini Bottom
Size: Top & Bottom – L (True to size)
Notes: These are the same high waisted bottoms with a cute tankini top! I love that this one fits a little tighter so that it doesn’t float around in the pool (does that scare anyone else like it scares me? LOL). I love the stripe print and the ring detail on this top! It does have adjustable straps as well.
Items: (left) Mock Neck Long Sleeve One Piece Rashguard & Full Coverage High Waist Bikini Bottom (right) Long Sleeve One Piece Rashguard
Size: (left) Wearing the top in a L, but need an XL. (right) Wearing in a L, but could probably use an XL. Going to recommend sizing up in these if you’re in between.
Notes: Sometimes you just need a rashguard! I would love to have these to wear to the water park for extra sun protection or at the beach. The left one is a top only and I am wearing it with the high waist bottoms from earlier. It has some built in padding for your boobs, but does not have a built in top. It is meant to be worn over a bathing suit top I believe, so I would recommend definitely sizing up in that one. The one on the right does have sewn in cups with a little support but it fits very tightly so I don’t feel uncomfortable not having a bathing suit underneath. I prefer the one on the right over the two!
Item: Halter Swim Dress
Size: True to size, wearing in a L
Notes: I have never worn a swim dress BUT this felt so good on! I love how flattering it was and that it covered up my thighs and behind very well, without feeling too matronly.
Item: Lace-Up One Piece Swimsuit
Size: Size up if you’re in between. Wearing a L here.
Notes: This one might not be for the neighborhood pool but I would absolutely wear this on a cruise or a vacation with my husband! I love that it is a little sexy but also understated and classy. It is also super comfortable which is key for me!
That is it – surprisingly there are about 100+ more suits to choose from at Target! Did any of these spark your interest?
