Today’s Coffee Date is all about living a balanced life and staying organized! Some people say that staying balanced is a myth but I don’t believe that to be true. What I do believe is that there is not just one definition to the word “balanced” and that definition is going to change daily, weekly, monthly… It will never be the same for the rest of your life. Check out the video for more!
I am completely obsessed with my Basics Planner and I talk more about it here and here.
1. Pick a start and end time for your work day.
2. Learn how to say no
3. Be the boss of your own time.
4. Lose the guilt.
And, most importantly, remember that what is balanced for you today is not going to work for the rest of your life so allow yourself to make mistakes and be flexible!

These are great tips. Balance and staying organized are goals I strive for everyday and as you said some days are better than others. I live by my planner and finally said no to a couple commitments that were nota good fit right now. I have not lost the guilt yet but trying!

Eeek yes! I am getting better about saying no. Now I love to say it but I definitely need to work on starting a beginning and end time of my day because it feels like it's nonstop. I'm working on getting some VA's to help so hopefully that will help too! #16

I love all four of your guidelines, but I especially love number 4. Guilt can be such a thief of time and of joy. And often times its not even warranted. Thanks for sharing!

I'm happy to say I do all 4. That hasn't always been the case. Better late than never right.

I think many of us are looking for a one size fits all system that we apply once. That might work for a few, but for me with growing kids my system changes all the time! Great post!

The power of no is so important, as well as setting an end time to the work day. So many times I have clients who think it is okay to email me after 5 and then expect a response right away. I've gotten better by not replying till the next day. It sets boundaries.
